Next step for BWI Group on its way for energy transformation and carbon neutrality

During April solar photovoltaic panels will be installed on the roof of Technical Center Kraków. This installation is the first BWI Group project of this kind in Europe.  BWI Group previously installed rooftop solar PV at  three China based facilities.

Later this year, all European sites will also switch to 100% clean electricity. BWI Group aims to eliminate all seven greenhouse gas emissions from production and supply chain activities, achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions from its supply chain by 2050 and promoting sustainable development for global customers.

The photovoltaic area on the Kraków Technical Center roof reaches 230,6 square meters, with a total installed capacity of approximately 49 kWp. It will generate approximately 1001,35 kWh of solar power per year, which will result in cutting about 39 390 kg of carbon dioxide emissions per year.
