Tom Liu serves as Global CEO of BWI Group, and is responsible for managing the operations of the company’s global business. ​

Tom was appointed as CEO of China Region in August 2024 and was fully responsible for overseeing and managing market and operation matters in the region.​

With nearly 20 years of experience in the automotive industry, Tom possesses a profound understanding of the Chinese market, demonstrating insightful knowledge of both international and Chinese consumers, as well as those of fuel-powered and new energy vehicles. ​

His extensive management expertise spans various domains including sales management, brand marketing, after-sales services, research and development, production operations, quality management, and IPO preparation. Tom has also led numerous projects focused on implementing lean management systems and continuously improving business performance. ​

Before joining BWI Group, Tom served in key management positions at renowned companies such as SVOLT Energy Technology, Farasis Energy, and Cummins.​

Tom earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Capital University of Economics and Business, and is a Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, the top level of the certification.

Shi Yunzhe has served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the Group since February 2025, overseeing the formulation of global financial strategies, the optimization of IT infrastructure, and the enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework. As a key member of the executive leadership team, he concurrently acts as Assistant to the Chairman, actively contributing to board-level strategic decision-making and corporate governance initiatives. 

With nearly two decades of diverse financial leadership experience across industries, Mr. Shi combines strategic vision with operational expertise. Prior to joining the Group, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Zhangjiakou Industrial Investment Group (the controlling shareholder of BWI) for five years, where he led strategic projects such as corporate bond issuance and the enhancement of group-wide financial control systems. 

Mr. Shi began his career at HNA Group, where he accumulated twelve years of cross-sector experience in financial management and investment across aviation, hospitality, retail, real estate, and financial investment sectors. During his tenure at HNA Group, he held several senior roles, including Financial Director of Hangzhou HNA Hotel, General Manager of the Finance Department at Shanghai Jiadeli Supermarket, General Manager of the Finance Department at HNA Real Estate, and General Manager of the Finance Department at HNA Investment. 

Alessandro Manca is promoted in December 2024 to Group Senior Vice President Sales Marketing and Program Management, fully responsible for global marketing, sales and program management of the regions outside of China. ​

He joined BWI in May 2023 and was appointed Global Vice President, Sales, Marketing and Business Development.​

Alessandro started his career in the automotive industry as Project Engineer with Continental AG then took various roles including project manager, Segment Head, Sales Director and Head of Sales Italy. In 2007, he was promoted as Executive Vice President Global Key Accounts. In 2014, he was assigned to the role of Vice President Business Development and Sales of Continental Intelligent Transportation Systems in San Jose, California. In 2019, he became Vice President, Business Development and Sales at Autobrains AI Technology. ​

Alessandro earned a Master’s Degree in Mechatronics and a Master’s in Mechanical Engineering as well as an Executive MBA.

Simon He is promoted in December 2024 to Senior Vice President and CHRO, fully responsible for global human resources, organizational transformation, and corporate culture reshaping.​

Simon joined BWI Group in March 2024 as Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer, BWI Group. ​

Simon started his Human Resources career with Lucent Technologies China. In 2006 he became China HR Director at Eaton Corporation, and then in 2007 he joined International Paper Inc., where he progressed through various regional and global HR roles before becoming the Global HR Director for the Consumer Packaging group. From 2018 to 2021, Simon was the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) at Goldwind Science & Technology Corporation which was listed on the Stock Exchanges of both Shenzhen and Hong Kong. Simon’s most recent role before BWI Group was as CHRO at Adicon Clinical Laboratories, a company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. ​

Simon has an EMBA Degree from Kellogg School of Management Northwestern University, USA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from China Agriculture University.

Franck Roussel appointed in December 2024 as Senior Vice President of International Operations, responsible for managing operations and manufacturing capacity planning for North America and Europe; leading and optimizing global functions such as operations, quality, eWay, manufacturing engineering, and sustainability.​

He joined BWI as General Manager North America in May 2023 then was appointed President North America in September 2023.​

Franck started his early career as Production Manager then Quality and EHS (Safety, Health and Environment) manager with a UTC company in France. He joined Autoliv in 1994 and took various management roles with increased leadership responsibilities, including Commodity and Project Buyer in France, Logistics and Purchasing Manager then Plant Manager in Turkey, General Manager Steering Wheel China, Managing Director Autoliv China Inflator and Autoliv China Steering Wheel, Managing Director Autoliv Shanghai, Vice President Operations Autoliv Asia, Acting President Autoliv Europe, Vice President Special Projects and Vice President Global Operations Steering Wheels. In 2021 he joined GKN Automotive as Vice President, ePowertrain. ​

Franck earned a Master’s degree in Engineering.

Dr. William Chen has served as Vice President of Engineering and CTO of Suspension Products at BWI since November 2024. He is responsible for global engineering projects, transition, and project-based management mechanisms, and heads the company’s Global Innovation Center. He leads the company in global suspension engineering resources and capabilities as well as engineering project development and execution. 

Dr. William Chen has achieved outstanding performance in his 20 years of career spanning China and the United States. In 2001, he joined Ford Motor Company in the United States, where he made significant achievements in areas such as vehicle passive safety performance development and restraint system integration, crash mechanics and structural crashworthiness design and optimization, and was awarded several patents. In 2009, he joined the consulting firm A.T. Kearney with a specialty in automotive R&D management. Before joining BWI, Dr. William Chen held various senior positions, including Chief Engineer of Passive Safety and Director of Vehicle Models at BAIC Motor Technical Center, Chief Technology Officer at Beijing Hainachuan Automotive Parts, and Chief Operating Officer at Midea Welling Auto Parts. 

He holds a Ph.D. in Applied Mechanics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an MBA from University of Michigan’s Ross School of Business, and master’s and bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering from Shanghai Jiao Tong University. 

Yuki Xue has served as Vice President of Brake Business since November 2024, and General Manager of Brake Business Unit since April 2025 at BWI. He is responsible for the group’s global brake business performance, and oversees end-to-end management of engineering, manufacturing, procurement, sales, finance, and HR.

Yuki Xue has 19 years of R&D and management experience in the automotive industry, covering business analysis, strategy and product planning, and product R&D and implementation. He excels in managing multicultural teams and integrating resources to achieve established goals. He once served as the Head of R&D at Delphi Chassis China, BWI’s predecessor. He also worked at Flextronics, Hella, and Chery Automobile in key roles including Head of R&D in Asia-Pacific Region and President of Business Units. Before returning to BWI, he was a Partner and Co-CEO of E-Planet Technology, a start-up company.​

He earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Tsinghua University and an MBA from the Norwegian Business School-Fudan University program.

Shujian Wang was appointed in December 2024 as Vice President of China Operations, responsible for managing operations and manufacturing capacity planning for all China plants. He also serves as General Manager of the Fangshan Plant in Beijing.​

Shujian Wang has been part of BWI since its establishment in 2009. As a senior operation expert with a global vision cultivated in BWI Group, Shujian Wang has gained a deep and accurate understanding of the development rules and management characteristics of each plant. He has more than 15 years of experience in manufacturing safety, quality control, lean manufacturing, supply chain optimization, cost control, etc. He served in several key positions, including Plant Director, Plant General Manager, and Group Assistant President, with rich expat experience in the plants across Europe and America. He has been focusing on new plant construction and manufacturing operation management since 2010.​

Before joining BWI, Shujian Wang was deeply involved in major projects for the Shougang Group. He had in-depth understanding and rich practical experience regarding advanced manufacturing technology and management models from countries such as Germany, the United States, and Japan.​

Shujian Wang holds a master’s degree in business administration from North China University of Technology, and a bachelor’s degree in metallurgical engineering from Beijing University of Science and Technology.

Doug Carson serves as Senior Advisor to Global Co-CEO in December 2024. ​

Doug began his career in 1988 as an engineer for General Motors working in Milford and Brighton, MI. In 2005 Doug relocated to Paris, France as the European chief engineer for brake and suspension system engineering.  Upon completion of his assignment in France he moved to Dayton, OH taking on a series of assignments in product and manufacturing engineering, sales, and business development. In 2020 he was appointed Vice President Operations and then from September 2022 through November 2024 served as Sr. Vice President of Engineering and CTO.

Doug earned his bachelor degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Cincinnati and a master degree in Mechanical Engineering from The Ohio State University. He has also completed the American Graduate School of International Management (Thunderbird) executive development program.

He has 8 patents and multiple top-tier awards from General Motors and Delphi and is a member of the Delphi Inventor Hall of Fame.
